LFW Trend Show

Yesterday I was woken up by my alarm at 5.45, was dressed and out the house by 6.50, and walked through the gates of Sommerset House for London Fashion week for 10am. London Fashion Week is without a doubt the biggest event for fashion in the UK, and I had the best time there this weekend! I have so much to share with you and write about that I will be splitting my experience into a number of different blog posts including OOTD's, a dairy style post of what I got up to during the day, and most importantly, some posts on the runway shows that I attended!

This particular show was called the 'Trend Show', and featured the four prominent trends that had been showcased earlier on in the week. The first trend was 'One and Only'- where block colour and neon brights were in full swing, and models donned outfits which were from head to toe made up from one colour palette. The trend is all about being confident in your choice of colour and featured teamed separates in the same shade along with some stunning textured pieces by Roland Mouret.

The second trend was my personal favourite of the show. Entitled 'Candy Crush', the trend was all about soft pastel shades contrasted with structured silhouettes and sharp tailoring. Next, we moved on to 'Jungle Fever' a printed mash-up of exotic fabrics, tribal prints and strong fabrics. Although this trend wasn't to my own personal style tastes, the bold prints and structures make a nice change from the block colours seen in the previous trends.

The fourth and final trend showcased was 'Fairy Tale Ending'- an absolutely gorgeous array of lace and chiffon mixed in with floaty gowns, bold capes and beaded embellishment. If only I had the money to invest in one of these gorgeous pieces for the Cosmo Blog Awards...

Please leave your lovely comments below and let me know what you think of these new trends! Also keep an eye out because one of these posts will feature a giveaway including the Lulu Guinness tote bag filled with all the goodies on offer at fashion week!
